Behave, or else

Over the past 18 months since Whiplr’s launch, you have been vigilant about reporting users who send unsolicited and inappropriate images to you without consent.

Of course this is not an issue that is confined to Whiplr, but in a world where the phrase “Safe, Sane and Consensual” carries extra weight we want to make extra sure that do more than pay lip service to the notion of consent.

To serve you better and to make you feel safe, we have decided to implement a strict set of consequences for users who are unable to adhere to the Whiplr Code of Conduct. There is no room for compromise here. Our goal is to root out repeat offenders and deny them further opportunities to harass you.

What happens to repeat offenders?

The first time a user has three reports aggregated against his or her account for sending unsolicited and inappropriate images, privileges will be suspended and the user will be unable to send any images or video content for three days.

If there are two further reports about the same account after the suspension has been lifted, the user will be permanently blocked from sending pictures and videos in Whiplr.

Your reports will prevent the next person from being harassed.

How do I report a photo or video?

Whiplr allows you to report a specific photo or video that you have been sent in a chat by tapping and holding it and selecting “report“.

The Whiplr Code of Conduct?

Our Code of Conduct is very clear. Do not send any inappropriate or offensive content to anyone without their consent.

The safety and wellbeing of our users is our topmost priority. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect. This is non-negotiable and we will not tolerate those that prove their inability to understand.
